The 21st annual Houston Summer Boat Show, showcasing just about anything that floats on the water, will open its doors to the public June 18-22 at Houston's Reliant Center.
The five-day show, which is expected to attract more than 30,000 boating enthusiasts, will present more than 200 exhibits with boats of all makes and models for fishing, skiing/wakeboarding and pleasure cruising. That's in addition to exhibits filled with accessories, fishing gear, clothing, art and more. And as always, most of the exhibiting dealers will offer special Summer Show discounts.
While the focus of show is certainly on boats, there's plenty else in store.
Need tips for hooking that trophy bass? Then visit the show's daily bass fishing demonstrations as experts present their tricks of the trade using the "Bass Tub," a 5,000-gallon mobile aquarium. You'll see how a few tantalizing maneuvers can get the fish biting.
Two other popular favorites are certain to be a hit with the family.
The Boat Show's Fish-O-Rama gives anglers young and old alike a chance to reel in a prized brown trout. Or, check out the daily performances of the amazing Twiggy, The Water Skiing Squirrel, a live squirrel who water skis behind a mini, remote-controlled ski boat (not to worry, Twiggy is outfitted with her very own squirrel-sized life vest).
