While the focus of the 2010 Houston International Boat, Sport & Travel Show is certainly on boats, campers and travel trailers, you will also be given for the first time ever to try out the brand new interactive wakeboard cable training system.
Camp Wake (located on the Trinity River just north of Lake Livingston) will debut at the show the very first wakeboarding cable system to come to the greater Houston area. For those who would love to try wakeboarding, but aren't sure where to start, Camp Wake will have their complete cable system set up at the show so that kids of all ages (that means you too mom and dad) can strap on a wakeboard and experience the sensation of wakeboarding without ever getting wet.
This is the same type of cable used by the pros in the Red Bull Wake Lab in Florida. This cable system has two twenty-foot tall towers anchored down with six thousand pounds of concrete at each end.
Under the direct supervision of Camp Wake's instructors, be the first to learn how to correctly handle and balance on an actual wakeboard, all while being pulled along on a 120-foot cable.
In addition to wakeboarding, Camp Wake will feature other fun activities for the family including a raft building zone and a balance board area where you can test your balance while hula-hooping.
Come be the first in line to try out the newest craze in wakeboarding today! We look forward to seeing you there.
